Founded in 1925, Fábrica de Tecidos do Carvalho has always honored its history, its ancestors and all the knowledge acquired throughout its years of existence. The constant investment in innovation along with the modernization of the equipments and processes allows the company to benefit a strong position in the demanding international home textile market. The company follows strict conducts aimed at high performance levels, allowing it to be prepared to meet the demands of its customers.

PRODUCTS
HISTORY
Fábrica dos Tecidos do Carvalho, Lda is a family owned company founded in 1925. Named António Moreira Gomes & Filhos, Lda. produced strong stripes cotton cloth to the portuguese ex-colonies. Later on, between 1960 and 1980, it began producing blankets for our national and European market. The extreme competition in the blanket market and it’s seasonality, forced the company to abandon this product line. After 1982, the company began a rationalization process and alteration of existing conditions including all the engineering devoting itself to the manufacturing of terry towels. Since then, the company invested in technology, quality and design, in order to achieve a more competitive position and distinction of its products. The present management is the third generation that implemented a productive system guided by high standard quality that has been opening doors to new markets in Europe and America.
TECHNOLOGY
As the market has been more demanding, the company has been improving and innovating the production structure supported by a Enterprise Resource Planning. Our lab assures strict standards quality. The improvements made in our warehouse, and logistic system assures better internal and external environmental conditions. Our constant concern in identifying and satisfying the customer’s needs, through the development of new concepts and ideas, that are supported by a modern and well provided design department.
